Carlie McCracken
Home Education Manager
Carlie is excited to continue for a third year as a Home Education Manager for Third Schools, which fits for her passion for educational choice and supporting all children in becoming thriving learners.
Carlie holds a Bachelor of Education and Bachelor of Arts in Modern Languages, from the University of Lethbridge. Carlie has spent the past 10 years working with children with language-based learning difficulties and associated challenges and studying best practices for supporting student success. She has a passion for literacy and supporting students with learning differences.
Carlie enjoys cheering on homeschooling families of all learning approaches and watching students’ love of learning blossom. Home education has become a way of life and learning for her entire family. Carlie loves the flexibility homeschooling offers, which allows her family to choose the outdoors as a classroom and allows her children the freedom to pursue their passions and learn at their own pace. Carlie loves spending time in the mountains, on rivers and lakes, and taking homeschool on the road whenever possible. She resides in the Calgary area and is looking forward to another year of learning adventures.
