Tatiana Rodriguez
Administrative Assistant
Tatiana was born and raised in the city of Bogotá, Colombia, fortunate to have a closely-knit family filled with love and respect, values that endure to this day. Since childhood, Tatiana demonstrated a profound interest in reading and research, leading her to study Journalism and Social Communication, later specializing in Organizational Communication at the Externado University of Colombia.

Her early professional successes led her to work as a communications advisor in the Health Department of the Colombian National Police for over 10 years. In this challenging time for Colombia, marked by war and destruction that claimed the lives of hundreds of police officers and disrupted their families, Tatiana collaborated with high-ranking military officials in developing strategies to strengthen the institution. During her tenure, she also had the opportunity to write two books about the stories and anecdotes of healthcare professionals.

Tatiana has been a disciplined and organized woman. Her curious mind has always found room to expand and explore new perspectives. She made positive contributions to various companies, including the Clínica del Occidente and the District Institute of Tourism in Bogotá, where she worked in roles related to statistics, training, and building personnel databases. Subsequently, her thirst for knowledge led her to pursue a Master's Degree in Human Resources Management at Benito Juárez University in Mexico.

In late 2021, life brought Tatiana and her family to Calgary, where she currently finds herself immersed in an exciting chapter. She joined Third Schools thanks to the opportunity Sunil Mattu provided her to volunteer, and fortunately, doors opened for her to start her Canadian work experience in the administrative area. Tatiana hopes to successfully contribute her knowledge and professional expertise as she continues to advance in English as her second language.

Working for the children and teenagers of Third Schools has been a wonderful experience for her. She affirms that hearing the laughter, games, and mischief of the children in the distance brings joy and vitality to her days because, as a mother of two teenagers, Tomás and Ana, she recognizes, along with her husband, that they are "the joy of the home."

This new Canadian chapter represents an exciting beginning in Tatiana's life, where past achievements and recognitions merge with the challenges and expectations of the future. In her free time, she is always with her husband Alexander, with whom she has been married for 20 years, focused on enjoying and supporting their children, who are high-performance athletes in soccer and speed skating. The astonishing sports facilities, such as the Olympic Oval, continue to surprise them more and more.
