Isadore Snook
Teacher
Isadore Snook was born and raised in Newfoundland & Labrador, Canada and joined ursa as a distance online teacher beginning with the 2024-25 school year. A Memorial University alumni - BSc (Applied/Pure Mathematics - 1993), BEd (1995), MEd (Information Technology - 2003) - Mr. Snook has been teaching for 29 years, specializing in math and sciences. He has been a classroom teacher, math department head, and a provincial mathematics content developer.
Mr Snook is an accomplished online teacher having taught students throughout Newfoundland & Labrador in an online environment since 2003. He has been actively involved in curriculum development and various other initiatives with the Newfoundland & Labrador Department of Education.
In his spare time, Mr. Snook enjoys the outdoors and loves spending time at the family cabin with his wife and two children. He is also a busy volleyball coach and is currently coaching his daughter in grade 8 volleyball. He has also been involved in coaching volleyball at the Provincial level. He is a devoted sports fan and passionately watches the Toronto Maple Leafs - his second team is the Calgary Flames and his favorite player is Jerome Iginla - and Toronto Blue Jays.
His hobby is forging with his son, who is known to be quite a skilled bladesmith. Mr Snook is more of a helper but has acquired some skills in forging.
